Day Three: Night Ride

The morning started with a quick trip to the Ferrari service shop where they confirmed that the top operation problem was Operator Error. Duh. While I was there, they tried to sell me a heavy plastic chin guard for a thousand bucks, but since I get in/out of my driveway without scraping, I passed on that expensive option. The thickness of the piece may even cause scraping!

Well after sunset I took my first NIGHT drive up The Hill, cautiously (only 100mph) due to the limited visibility, traffic, and unfamiliarity with the controls for high beams, etc. Jake, a coaching client, came along for the ride. I kept the top up.

This was also an experiment with shoe-less driving. It seems my sneakers are a bit big and get hung up moving from gas to brakes. I've ordered some driving shoes and fingerless driving gloves. Is this the beginning of the long slow slide into the Diderot Effect or just normal continuous improvement?
